Movie Description:
Roman teenager Atti is forced to join the Roman Army when one of his clever schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero. He is sent to "miserable, cold, wet Britain" where "the natives are revolting, quite literally". Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla, a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior. After narrowly avoiding a very sticky end in a bog, Atti uses his Roman know-how to help Orla save her grandma who's been kidnapped by a rival tribe. Meanwhile, a furious Nero is determined to crush the rebellion, led by Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni. Atti rejoins his Roman troops and discovers they are preparing for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street. Atti's brains could save the day, but they could also spell disaster for Orla as the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Academy Award winner Jean Dujardin (THE ARTIST) is a recent divorcee in the midst of a mid-life identity crisis. In search of a new life and look, he ditches his past in a roadside petrol station and encounters a vintage, fringed deerskin jacket with influential supernatural powers. He relocates to a quiet French alpine village where he is mistaken for an independent filmmaker by an adventurous, enterprising bartender in a sleepy saloon (Adèle Haenel, PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE) who happens to be an aspiring editor with natural production instincts. The two forge a tenuous allegiance and team up to collaborate on a film inspired by the visionary deerskin jacket.

Think Bad Monty Python. VERY VERY BAD Monty Python

This movie suggests what it would have been like if the Monty Python crew had been allowed to continue making bad unfunny movies over the last decades.

They burnt out after the second season of their TV show (at least Cleese had the smarts to leave the show) and made a couple funny features and then garbage.

That's this film in a nutshell.

It's Bad Brit humour watered down by political correctness -- which is apparently destroying the world.

Just terrible.

Where is the original cast?!

A Horrible Histories movie should definitely include the amazing comedians of TV's Horrible Histories, Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Jim Howick! The movie is not bad, made in the style of the series, but it could have been way better. I hope that in the sequel we get to see some of our favorite comedians.

Kid's film but quite amusing

This is a kid's film and is reflected in the humour and it's delivery, so perhaps it's not too fair for adults to rate it.

All in all it was watchable and had some really funny parts, although the musical scenes were more than a bit cringe-worthy.
